Austin is a big, imposing figure who is one of best power bats in the 2009 class. While some see him potentially moving to 1B (where he played last summer while hitting .500 for the USA Youth National Team in the World Youth Championships), many believe his catching skills are ever improving. There are no questions about his arm strength, in fact he is considered by many as a prospect on the mound as well – where he features a low 90’s fastball. 

Austin hit .515 with 12 homeruns and 67 RBI during his high school season at Eagle’s View Academy.  Austin has verbally committed to play baseball at the University of Florida.
