Jonathan stood out at this year’s Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament due to his big league body and above average athleticism, which are highlighted by excellent run and throw abilities. His defensive skills behind the plate are solid, and there is little question of his ability to catch and throw. He is a talented and capable hitter from both sides of the plate. All in all, Walsh is an emerging prospect in a deep group of catchers in the 2009 class.
