Nick is a polished all-around player with sure hands and a strong arm in the infield. He has line drive ability from both sides of the plate, and is an excellent runner. Last summer, Nick solidified himself as a top flight prospect by winning the starting shortstop job for the USA Youth National Team and he also took his low 90’s fastball to the mound as their closer.
Nick hit .471 with six homeruns, nine doubles and 32 RBI during his 2008 high school season. He really shined during the playoffs hitting .594 with three homeruns, three doubles and 12 RBI in 32 at bats.
