Zack’s tall, lean body leads to a good downhill plane with some sink in his low 90’s fastball. In addition to his fastball, he has command of a quality breaking pitch and changeup, giving him an advanced three pitch mix. Perhaps the most intriguing thing about Wheeler is that he has so much room to mature physically, giving him tremendous upside potential. 

Zack went 8-3 for East Paulding High School in 2008 with a 1.31 ERA and 127 strikeouts in 64 1/3 innings.  Wheeler is being recruited by various SEC, ACC and Pac 10 programs.
